On a cold November morning, we crept down, almost like thieves in the night, to DC on a very secret mission to photograph the first lady, Michelle Obama. Who turned out to be everything I'd read about, and more: gracious, smart, disarmingly funny and refreshingly down-to-earth. It was a memorable day, and a day I'll certainly never forget. The March 2015 issue with Michelle Obama on the cover, is out now. This is the first time we have ever run a person on the cover in the 27 year history of Cooking Light, and I'm so flattered and thrilled to have been the Creative Director on this project.
